Single-Sex Classrooms?
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:24:42 PM »
I just heard that the two 6th grade classes at #52 are going to be divided along gender lines next year -- one for the boys, one for the girls. How do people feel about that? I've heard good things about it for girls, particularly, in math and science, but as the graduate of an all-girls school, to me there are as many downsides as ups!

Wow! I would not be thrilled if that were my son's sixth grade class. I think Wilson has single-sex classes in 7th and 8th grades (?) ... I wonder how that is working out.
